Fears of an LD 1 tax cap challenge prompted a last-minute decision Friday night by the Waldo County Budget Committee to slash $200,000 from proposed funding for next year s reserves accounts. This followed nearly three hours of discussion of proposed spending for the three departments that remained to be deliberated, an effort that resulted in $26,695 in cuts.
